Hi! I’m Ian and I have brain cancer. Well, technically not cancer. It’s a benign JPA tumor. Asking yourself why I said cancer? Well, it’s because of the location. It’s located deep in my brain stem. It was discovered when I was 18 and I had two surgeries within weeks of discovery. Fun stuff. But it worked and, in a few short months, I was working towards a degree in mathematics with a minor degree in photography.
Ten years later, what remained of the tumor began producing cysts. It’s been seven surgeries and several close calls in the past few years. Although I am on the mend, it’s a slow road. So, I am writing down my memories. I will concentrate on good memories but bad things happen. Feel free to check out some of my photography work. Happy reading.
